Strategy Execution Coaching

Six Disciplines strategy execution coaching offers you a proven way to help you formulate a solid strategy, and execute it consistently. Unlike many consultants and business coaches, we take a holistic view of both strategy and execution. Of the two processes, execution is much more difficult, since it requires every person, every day. And, not surprisingly, as your organization grows, executing strategy becomes even more challenging.  We've designed the Six Disciplines strategy execution coaching program on practical principles and proven best-practices. As a result, it's the most effective way to learn the single-most important business process of them all: building the capacity of your organization to execute its strategy.

But, Does It Work? After reviewing our program, a prominent industry analyst put it best when he told us:  "Six Disciplines is the easiest way possible, to do the hardest thing imaginable."  You can think of the Six Disciplines program as an ongoing "business fitness program" – one that takes into account the key principles of strategy execution: strategy, planning, organizing, executing, innovating, and organizational learning.   Six Disciplines business coaches will show you how to plan and work more effectively – to get the right things done. And, our innovative software makes it easier for you to execute your strategy, every day.

Six Disciplines is a
complete program for strategy execution. By "complete", our program significantly improves your results by compounding the synergistic effects of all of its components working together.

What we mean is, with Six Disciplines, 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - no longer equals 4.

It's easiest to understand our complete program by breaking it down into its four required components:
  1. Methodology. While following a methodology (a blueprint, framework, process, approach, etc.) is very useful, it will only offer you so much benefit  - if it's used only by itself.
  2. Coaching. While coaching (executive coaching, business coaching, individual coaching, etc.) can be very effective, it will only offer you and your organization a limited return on investment, it it's used only by itself.
  3. Software. While software (balanced scorecards, cascading goals, executive dashboards, performance appraisals, etc.) can be very useful, it can become just another tool that's rarely used or not used to its potential, if it's used only by itself.
  4. Shared Learning.  While a shared learning community (business coaches, clients, forums, blogs, social media, etc.) can be very enriching, it can become a barrier to the kind of accelerating organizational learning you need, if it's used only by itself.
None of these components - BY THEMSELVES - will produce the results you're looking for. However, when you combine these components, synergy occurs that is much greater than "the sum of its parts", and as a result, your ability to execute strategy increases geometrically.  If you're approached by coaches, consultants, software vendors, or other providers of "solutions" that don't offer such a complete program, they're offering you a compromise; one that is not holistic, not comprehensive, and your results simply won't last.

Lesson learned?  It takes a complete program.

What is a Methodology and why is it important?

Every successful profession or endeavor has a methodology. Whether it's building a house, conducting a symphony orchestra, even golf lessons - each has it's own blueprint, framework, or process - based on time-tested, proven best practices - that is followed consistently to produce the desired results.  You would even consider flying in an commercial airliner, or undergo brain surgery without dedicated professionals who follow a routine, repeatable process - so why shouldn't you have a methodology to systematically improve your business?

The Six Disciplines Methodology

The Six Disciplines Methodology is a synchronized, systematic approach for building your business. It puts together into one integrated step-by-step process, what has formerly been thought of as different disciplines.  There are six fundamental disciplines, involving strategy, planning, organizing, executing, innovating, and organizational learning - each having a series of steps.  You can think of the Six Disciplines Methodology as a series of annual, quarterly, weekly and daily repeatable cycles which, with each successive pass, helps you and your team learn how to communicate, collaborate, and perform better.
